Isaw is a famous Filipino street food usually made from chicken's intestines. Most of the time they are put on skewers for barbecue or they are deep fried. The intestines are turned inside out and washed with flowing water several times then boiled before they are placed on barbecue sticks.
Our boys were having a little drinking session and thought of isaw as their "pulutan" - it's how we call it here. A finger food as an appetizer served with alcohol. So, I prepared some as my father's day treat for them.
The preparation needs a lot of patience and effort. It will take time but at least I made sure these are cleaned and well prepared. When you try to do it yourself, just make sure to turn it inside out as many times as possible and wash thoroughly with flowing water.
