Silver Post Medal for All Time! 293 Posts No chemicals here, this is a genuine, all natural, organic pear! Please don't eat it though.:) I would suggest using it as an applique', tying with ribbon to a gift, adhering it to the front of a homemade card, cutting out card stock and gluing it to the back with a magnet for your fridge. The possibilities are endless. Just make one though, they're so quick and fun!
Total Time: less than 5 minutes
Yield: as many as you like!:)
Source: self
Supplies:
- "I" crochet hook
- tiny amount of green and brown yarn
- scissors
- embroidery needle for weaving in ends
Steps:
- With a slip knot on your hook, chain 8.
- Single crochet in the second chain from your hook and in next two chains. Half double crochet in next chain, double crochet in next chain, treble crochet in next chain, 6 treble crochet in last chain.
- Rotate your work so that you are now able to make stitches in the opposite side of your chain. You will make a treble crochet in the next chain as marked by the needle.
- Double crochet in the next chain, half double crochet in the next chain, single crochet in the next two chains, join with a slip stitch in the first single crochet as marked by the needle.
- Fasten off your green yarn. Attach your brown yarn with a slip stitch in the same stitch where you just fastened off. Chain 4.
- Slip stitch in the second chain from your hook, slip stitch in the next two chains also. Make a final slip stitch in the original spot where you joined your brown yarn. Fasten off and this is what you should have now!
- Weave in your ends with an embroidery needle in the back of your work, all done. Looks good enough to eat! :)
