Supplies:
Directions:
Chain 26
Row 1: sk 1 ch, sc across (25 sts)
Row 2: ch 1, sc across (25 sts)
Row 3: ch 2, dc across (25 sts)
Row 4: ch3, trc across (25 sts)
Row 5: ch 2, dc across (25 sts)
Row 6: ch 1, sc across (25 sts)
Repeat rows 2-6 until scarf is 70" long (shorter for a child ' measure arm span, then add 6-7" for pocket on each side)
Turn up 7" on each side for the pockets and sc, or sew, along both sides of each pocket on each end.
If you'd like, add some embellishments, such as sparkle beads.

That's a really neat idea...u could add fringing to the top of the pockets too in the same or contrasting fabric...thanks for the gr8 idea Connie!
It'd be really easy to do the same thing by knitting as well ;) In fact, I might just turn up the ends of some of my old scarves. Thanks for sharing!
I'm looking forward to trying this, sounds quick and easy and a great way to use up leftover yarn. Unfortunately I don't really need another project as I have a room full of UFO'S (unfinished objects!) I might actually finish this one though...Thanks
