Easy meal to throw together in a crockpot made from mostly frozen ingredients and canned items.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken breasts, cut up into chunks
- 1 pkg. frozen green peas and carrots
- 1/3 cup frozen onions, chopped
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 pkg. refrigerated biscuits
Steps:
- Cut chicken breasts into bite-size pieces. Place in crockpot with frozen vegetables, soup, and water. Add seasonings. Stir thoroughly.
- Cook in crockpot for four hours. At the end of cooking time, add l/3 cup flour to mixture if it needs to be thickened. Stir thoroughly. Break each refrigerated biscuit dough into four chunks and add to top of chicken pot pie mixture.
- Continue cooking on crockpot for another hour. If desired, remove crockpot to oven and bake at 350 degrees F to brown and crisp the top of the biscuits (about 15 minutes)
