I have a red leather sectional. Everything else is neutral beige walls, black or espresso furniture, and dark wood floors. What color curtains should I get? I was thinking black or tan.

I usually tell people to get white ones, but I think in this case, I might go with a decorative rod and black, tan, and perhaps red pattern-something geometric perhaps. You have the blinds for privacy, and light blocking. Of course, if you want to make the room seem larger, you can use curtains that are the same colour as the walls, so they just provide a background. I think, with this furniture arrangement, and things being quite unpatterned, that you might want to showcase the curtains. I don't think you want solid black or solid tan; this room calls for patterns.
Thank you so much. I'll give it a try. I must admit I'm afraid of patterns, but I think might be right.
It was hard to guess the true color of your walls from your picture. I hope I came close. Draperies with a design would be nice, but that design should be kept geometric.
Something else you might want to consider if/when you purchase a new area rug. Most interior decorators agree that when using an area rug, each piece of furniture should be either all the way on the rug or all the way off.
