I have a beige carpet with white walls and there is a beige and black border along the vaulted ceiling. My furniture is black leather. I have a large picture window with 4 crank out windows. I'm looking to add a pop of color to the room, but I am not very good at going outside of the box. I tend to stick to neutral colors for fear of things not matching. Any suggestions on a curtain color would be appreciated.

With beige moving up to white walls and such high ceilings, I'd go with a golden yellow (or a burgundy red if that's not exciting enough). Chic and warming. I saw this photo of how yellow warms a room a nicely:

Teal accent pillows would be nice too :)
You could use a color like yellow, cantaloupe, or soft green on the walls. You can only paint one wall, if you wish. Also, get some pillows with those colors in them.
I would tile the floor. Ceramic tile and use white tile with a burgundy grout
I would go with a silver color or dark brown to terra-cotta
I think a darkish green would look well and not be too ' in yer face' as we say over here! Sort of classic and stylish at the same time.
I can see one of the new Moroccan or Chevron prints with a lot of black and a pop of gold or red. Or black and beige then use red as couch pillows and perhaps a throw.
A pale green or a light gray? Get a white poster board or more and paint with sample colors to get a sense in your head of what the end result may be.
Personally, Lisa, I prefer neutral shades in window treatments. They can be costly, even if you're buying the fabric and rods and going the do-it-yourself route.
I thank a red color would really make it pop!!!
Neutrals are wonderful! I suggest a warm gray or gray-blue for your curtains. Pops of color can be added elsewhere in the room using accent pillows, etc. For instance, I live in a rental house and cannot change anything except throw pillows, minimal artwork on walls. I have grayish-blue walls, white trim, and beige carpet to work with my personal beige sofa and love seat. I purchased throw pillows to tie in the colors of the wall, trim, carpet, and furniture.
