Are you referring to curtains that are usually lighter in weight and may not block out sun/view or do you mean drapes that can cover windows to give privacy and block out sun/daylight/heat/cold.
Brown and tan are neutral colors and can be paired with almost any color of the rainbow. You may want to think about whether you want a solid color or whether you would like to blend two or three colors as it appears these curtains will be your background in this room.
