I think the green would look fabulous and will not clash with your rug.

You may have chosen already, but Please Read:
I see 3 shades of yellow, 1 white, 2 shades of green, 2 layers blue, & it seems do. Blue@bottom of wall ; white & black design around doors, & gold w/rose (burgundy roses) on bed! Depending on your FAVORITE COLOR, I would suggest picking up a beige background w/print picking up the blues, READ ON, YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!!

I made Drapes for a rest. That had the colors of your flowers, folded drape type drapes w/solid lt. Or baby blue, solid lining on backside.
Doing this would blend Beautiful w/your colors!! If you choose the flowers, the greens would pick up PERFECT with ALL of the GREENS & GOLDS, THE BEIGE background (printed side) WILL blend with the Yellows on the wall & the gold on the bed! The black & white should go w/anything. It DOES, ALREADY blend with the wall colors & definitely the Blues & the LIGHTER, SOLID color BLUE for your lining on the back!!
The Drape-to describe- had a covered board, print material, w/5" sides, to stand out, then the Drape consisted of print. w/same BLUE lining, done in 4 different length (approx. 6" fold) folded, again, tapered length, layered sides! The tapered lengths, & folds, allowed the blues to be picked up, BEAUTIFULY!!!

Again, the print on beige (front side) can be ANY PATTERN ) & the back (lining) should be a BLUE, to pick up the blues at bottom of walls (the colors you really have the least of!)
You can choose lined CURTAINS, as your patterns & designs seem more abstract & modern, than Elegant & YOU SHOULD Have NO TROUBLE FINDING CURTAINS AS DESCRIBED, & If you don't want lined ones, just pick up ssheets that are the right color blue to match your blues!
I don't think Drapes WILL go, as they are for more elegant or for age, YOURS IS DEFINITELY MODERN & ORIGINAL, SO, THIS BLEND WILL ONLY SPICE IT UP MORE WITHOUT OVERDOING!! Have Fun-!
p.s. Love your originality!!

Green is definitely the way to go but what shade of green? Close to the meadow green in the wall art, maybe a shade paler? I think it would make the room very welcoming and calming.

I would do one of the colors that are on the wall, most likely blue, and match the bed comforter to the curtain.

Unusual design - nice..

You have a lot of yellow that really stands out so it would seem that you need a softer color - something like a seagreen maybe?

Are you going to be buying your curtains or will you be making them?

The paint stores/departments have color swatches (paper) of different shades that might give you an idea if you hold a color up to your wall (especially the yellow).

Here is color site that I use a lot - scroll down and maybe pick out a couple of colors that seem nice to you:

I believe it should be a solid and light weight material but finding just what you want may be difficult. Shop around and get an idea of what may be available. Most of the department stores have a wide selection of curtains - even Walmart and Target.

Have fun - but take your time as curtains can be expensive - but I would try one out and if it does not "feel" right, return it right away and make another choice.

I like the middle of the road color...a soft green would pull in all the other colors of the wall. Blue I think would be too strong and yellow too bland.

Love the wall though, a nice challenge and accent wall.

Green is THE decorating trendy color for 2017. I think the bright lime kiwi green for curtains or a green, blue print. I also think a plain white down alternative comforter would really pull out that white design on your stripes. Then you could use yellow, blue or green solid and printed pillows.
