I am so undecided about this. My family room walls are Stonington gray, by Benjamin Moore, which is a light gray. My couches are a darker gray, the hardwood floor is brown, and my tables are a deep brown. The window and baseboard trim is white. I'm looking to use teal and purple or teal and yellow as colours. Should I make the curtains teal and do white and purple pillows, or white curtains and teal and purple pillows?

I'm sorry, I can't get my head around teal and purple as a colour combo. It seems like an unusual combo. Do you have a print in mind with those colours? However, of the choices you gave, I would choose the white curtains, and then the pillows could be your shot of contrasting colour. I would suggest a print with softer versions of teal/purple, with grey and white, perhaps.
