I have just finished painting my living room, Just Walnut, and I have a mustard colour sofa and a brown sofa in the room. What colour of curtains should I get?

With the description that you gave, a curtain with a pattern would look nice with some colors like teal, orange, beige.
It would be helpful to see a photograph.
In my head, I imagine the mustard sofa to be quite a bold colour. Without anything else in the room matching it may look a bit stark or prominent.
I would to a beige color. Neutral and light will balance out the other colors
Without a photo, I would go with a patterned print with a brown/beige background with some medium greens & the mustard color as flowers or paisley type prints.
I would get bold curtains with blocks of mustard in them
A rich Paisley pattern with many colours, red, blue, green, yellow, black would add a splash of brightness and become the focal point of your room.
A patterned curtain with walnut color in as close a match to the wall color as possible combined with a deep(or lighter) color mustard. that should tie it all together.
All of my furniture is either Walnut or Mahogany, & Beige carpet, however, You have painted "Walnut" & also have brown & mustard in your room, I assume, solid color furniture, since u don't mention any pattern! I would Suggest using a light color, such as beige? Or, soft yellow, green, etc.! Choose what your Favorite Color is, & What you had in mind when you chose these colors, then chose a color & pattern of soft Colors to BREAK UP ALL THE DARKER COLORS YOU HAVE, TO BRIGHTEN THE ROOM & POP OUT YOUR OWN PERSONALITY!! (ie: if you want BOLD, Pick your favorite color, soften it up, as mentioned, soft beige, yellow, maybe green) for the background, then " maybe Flowers, etc., if you're going ELEGANT, Or Circles, Squares, ANYTHING SORT OF "ART DECO " if you're going MODERN!!
Many thanks for your comments. I will post pictures when room is finished as I am waiting for wooden floors to be fitted and a woodburner installed. I have a mustard sofa so went for a mid grey sofa to complement it and loads of mustardgrey cushions.
Sounds like you got to do it "your way" and I hope you will be very happy with your choices and Just reading your description makes me want to see the "final" photos.
Hope you keep us posted.
