Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,298 Posts Here is a fun indoor butterfly craft my daughter enjoyed making together. Afterwards, she hung this up in her room. She is currently fascinated with making crafts with her hand outline so that's what we've been doing lately!
Total Time: 15-20 minutes
Supplies:
- construction paper
- glue stick
- glue
- sequins
- pen
Steps:
- Fold paper in half (this will be the color of your butterfly) and trace your child's hand on the seam as pictured.
- Cut out the hand and open it up.
- Cut out a leaf shape (resembling the body), a circle (head), and antennae.
- Assemble and glue pieces together to resemble your butterfly.
- Using a pen - draw on the face.
- Add white glue on the wings and your child can add the sequins!
- Allow glue to dry and the butterfly is ready to play with, or be hung on the fridge, on the wall, etc. It can also be used as a card.

Love that the wings are your daughter's hands. A lovely keepsake!
