I found this craft somewhere on the internet and I'm trying to make my own. The difference is that I'm using recycled paper. One side is printed and the other is left blank, so I was thinking this can still be used for this kind of brilliant idea.
Supplies:
- colored cardboard paper
- long sized bond paper or any white soft type of paper
- glue
- correction pen
- black marking pen
- scissors
Steps:
- Get a piece of white paper, fold into 4 equal parts in a landscape position.
- Cut along the folds. You now have 4 pieces of paper strips in equal sizes.
- Get one strip and fold in half. Then fold again twice, equally.
- Do the same with the 3 other strips.
- Now, fold in alternate directions so it looks like an accordion.
- Flip the paper to show the back portion or the printed portion. (The clean side will face down.)
- Stick each strip tip to tip to forming a long strip of accordion like paper.
- Then apply glue on to the entire back portion.
- Close the accordion fold to stick and finally form the pages. (See photo)
- Get the colored paper and cut into half in the landscape position.
- Fold the edges following the length of the pages.
- When you find it too long or too big, adjust or cut the paper in half. This will be the cover.
- Fold both sides of the cover vertically based on the width of the pages.
- As you can see there's an opening on the folded ends. Insert the last pages of both sides of the accordion folded paper, into the opening. Secure with glue.
- Design the front cover using the marker.
