Inevitably, if I go out somewhere during my lunch hour, I spend money. To avoid unnecessary spending, I pack my lunch each day and eat at my desk. Since I work at a community college, I usually go to the library and read to finish out my lunch hour or walk on the treadmill in our fitness room. On pretty days, I take advantage of the walking trail outdoors.
By doing this each day, I'm saving money by not purchasing my lunch, saving money on gas by not driving somewhere, and saving money by staying out of the stores and not buying things I don't need. I am also eating healthier by not buying fast food and getting exercise when I walk on the treadmill or outdoors.
