Since it's my cat's first haircut I wanted to know if her hair will still be soft afterwards. She's 1 year old and I wanna take her to get groomed or trimmed because she sheds everywhere.

My daughter cuts her cat's hair once every year and it always grows back thick and soft.
But I would advise to do that only at the beginning of summer. Leave the cats hair long during the winter months as it is needed to keep the cat warm.
Yes her hair will still be soft after grooming.
You can cut a cats hair with no damage.
Most definitely will be soft :) Good luck!
In the warmer months of the year your cat will shed more. However, I believe winter is approaching where you iive and it is advised to not cut your cat's hair until spring. Your cat will need the hair in order to keep warm during the colder months of the year.
I have a long haired cat and it costs $90 to groom her. We live in Arizona where it gets brutally hot so she needs to get shaven every summer to keep her comfortable. I invested in a professional grade pet razor, costs about $300 but the whole process is painless. I have someone hold her and flip her side to side and on her belly and the whole thing takes maybe 20 minutes. Shaves the mats right off too. No way would I come close to my cat with scissors !
