This is an easy and simple technique for making colorful glass bottles using old bottles or bottles which once held soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Frank's hot sauce, etc.
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 1
Supplies:
- bottles
- food coloring
- Elmer's glue
- water
- plastic cup
- foam brush
Steps:
- To give the jars a "sea glass" look, make the following mixture: Mix one teaspoon of Elmer's glue, three drops food coloring, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of water. Mix well.
- Using a foam brush, paint from the top to the bottom of the bottle. Let dry and add as many coats as desired for the look you want.
- When completely dry, you can spray with varnish or leave as is. If using outdoors, you should apply several coats of spray varnish to protect them from the elements.
