Dead Pinhead Crickets in the House?

A big amount of pinhead crickets blew in on my desk (I assume from the window) and are now dead. I have no idea where they came from or how they got there. From time to time we get crickets in the house, but this is a pile of 100 give or take some. Where did they come from?
