I would use tablecloths with have a football theme to them, or green ones. Make small team pennants out of felt and stand them in vases of marbles of various team colors along with footballs for the centerpieces. You could also use helmets. The dollar store has some snack plates and bowls shaped as footballs and helmets you could use.
Get plastic footballs at the party store and some confetti
