Decorative Outdoor Solar Sconces - lights on as twlight beginsI am in love with outdoor lighting! Often I find great candle holders that can be transformed into solar lighting. With a little creative alteration, you too could make these.

Supplies:

  • wall sconces
  • spray paint
  • solar lights
  • glue gun
  • drill
  • screws
Decorative Outdoor Solar Sconces - can of spray paint
 

Steps:

  1. Take your sconces and make sure they are free of dust, spray paint, and allow to dry.

  2. Remove the ground stake from your outdoor lighting. You will only be using the head of the light. Because the light was candle size, it fit perfectly in these sconces.
    3. Decorative Outdoor Solar Sconces - inexpensive solar lights still mounted to stakes
     
  3. With your glue gun, use a generous amount hot glue around the base of the solar light and also down inside the candle base.
    4. Decorative Outdoor Solar Sconces - solar light removed and hot glue being added to the stake mounting area

  4. Place and secure pressing down. Repeat.
  5. Mount in your garden.
