Buy the framed mirrors at IKEA and decorate. I usually use thin paper such as paper napkins, but recently I have started using thin, silk scarves for a somewhat unusual look. These are very easy and inexpensive to make and they are wonderful, homemade gifts for friends and family.

Lisa,
You do such beautiful and creative decoupage work - do you just give it as gifts or do you sell it? It is very simple and elegant. Thanks for sharing such beautiful and wonderfully simple ideas!
These are beautiful and look so elegant and expensive. Could you post the directions? Thanks a million.
These are lovely! My favorites are the floral, especially the yellow one you have on top! Exquisite! Thanks for sharing!
I love these creations! I would also like to request a posting on how to do them. Thanks so much.
Thank you all for your kind words. Those of you who have asked for instuctions on making them, please be patient, I promise I will post the instuctions but I am very busy at this time. If you could wait until Sept. I will get them posted.
They are gorgeous Lisa! Thanks for the terrfic photos. Sharon
Lisa, I love to decopauge, but I will tell you I have never seen such beautiful mirrors. They are simply beautiful. Never thought about decopauging with silk scarfs, but will give it a try.
Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing
Lisa, these are just beautiful! You are very talented and thoughtful to share your instructions. I printed them and since I've always wanted to make them, they are on my list for my next project!
:)
PS
How are the forest fires in Greece? Here in Houston, TX USA our city had a rally to donate money to send to Greece to help put out the fires. I hope they are gone and never return. God bless you.
Lisa the decoupage is beautiful and I would love to post some of the pics on my crafting site. Please e-mail me at jogebczyk AT yahoo.com if I could have permission. JoAnn
These are really beautiful and I love the idea of using silk scarves. I want to ask anyone who has decoupaged with cut out images -- how does one cut the items so perfectly? If you are using paper, i imagine an exacto knife is good but if using napkins or scarves, will a tiny scissors do an accurate enough job? Is there another tool for this?
Thx,
Try using cuticle scissors- I have used them with great success ! You can use the straight ones or curved. I prefer the straight, work best for me. Decopauge also works nicely on switchplates, to match walls in any room. Also make nice housewarming gifts.Good luck and have fun !!
