Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,298 Posts This is one of my father's signature appetizers. Everyone loves to eat these, and they are always requested for family gatherings and reunions!
Prep Time: 15
Cook Time: 30
Ingredients:
- French baguette bread
- medium shrimp
- 1 pkg banana flour
- water
- salt & pepper
- 1/2 bunch green onion
- vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic
Steps:
- Wash your shrimp throughly. We used medium shrimp with the skin on.
- At the Asian market, you will find banana flour. Use the entire package and slowly incorporate water until it is in a nice paste consistency and not too watery. Add dash of salt and pepper, chopped half bundle of green onion, and 2 cloves of minced garlic. Stir the solution.
- Now cut the baguette bread in the size you would like. Ideally bigger than your shrimp. Now dip the bread in your solution you just made. Afterwards add the shrimp on top.
- Get a shallow pan and add vegetable oil. Deep fry until golden brown.

Question: You just simply lay the shrimp on the bread, and it stays on while it is being fried?

Are the shells off or on and do the shrimps stay on while frying?
