Delicious and Incredible Tandy Cakes

Major yum. I am not a cake person, but I had the most delicious little cake squares at a meeting last night that I had to share the recipe!

They said they are like the little Tastycake round cakes. I think they call them candy cakes, but I am not sure. They are bakery quality and a nice dessert for a special occasion.

Try them and you will love them... my guarantee or send them to me and I will eat them all! ;)

Total Time: 90 min including wait time?

Yield: one cookie tray full

Ingredients:

4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 Tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup milk, scalded
2 cups flour
2 Hershey 12 oz chocolate bars
12 oz creamy peanut butter

Steps:

Beat eggs and sugar.
Add flour and vanilla.
Scald milk and add 2 Tbsp butter to mixture and mix.
Pour into large greased cookie sheet (or jelly roll pan).
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 minutes.
Spread top with peanut butter once out of oven.
Refrigerate until peanut butter is firm (about 45 min).
Break up chocolate bars on scored lines.
Melt chocolate in microwave and spread over peanut butter.
Refrigerate again until chocolate is firm but not hard. Cut into squares.

I just made these this afternoon! Oh my they are dangerous! I had three pieces with my coffee! So good!
