You should see what others in your area charge. In my area, cleaners charge by the job, not the hour. If there is a special job, like cleaning an oven, something gets eliminated that week if the client is a weekly client.
Are you licensed? If not, you will have to factor in your experience vs. other peoples experience and rates.
If you are just starting out, I would recommend being reasonable to have more clients and hopefully they'll recommend you to their friends and family.
"Care" has a great article on how to determine the cost. Things like where you are, size of the home, frequency of cleaning, level of clutter all come into play.
Check out this really cool calculator, too!
House keepers charge anywhere from twenty five an hour to seventy five an hour some charge extra for speciality cleaning like windows and rugs.
