You should be able to look at the publication page and find the last year of publication (not the copyright year).

I agree with this answer. The most recent date can be found in the first few pages
I honestly can't find a publishing date on my Britannica Encyclopedia set on the first few pages. All it shows is the copyright date of 1973.
