I have been researching to figure out the style of this armoire. I have seen a couple of similar ones described as French and another as English. I have seen the value from as low as $500 up to $1500.
Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

You need to know who manufactured it. Look under, behind, and inside. In my area this brown type of furniture is not in demand anymore. Good luck.
Thanks. I have looked. There is not additional information anywhere.
Are you in the UK? There is a British brand of furniture named Pioneer and it looks like it may be one of their pieces.
They, at least at one point, had a metal shield nailed in to ID it, but that said, those things fall off, get removed, rust away, which is probably why you are not seeing any marking.
I am not that familiar with the brand as we don't see much in Pittsburgh...but I have seen photos of these in various auction houses over the years and it has the lines and pattern I remember being associated with that brand. Like you said, they will sell in prices all over the place...that is truly the nature for sales for big pieces like this...it is hard to give a "standard" value.
I don't know if the company is still in business as it was, but there is a brand with this name still online with what appears to be an active website:
www.pioneerfurniture.co.uk/
Perhaps they can help you to confirm if it was theirs and if so, help you date it. It has a 40s vibe to me, but it could be older.
It is stunning. Trying to figure out the value really depends on where you are in the world. In Pittsburgh, I had a friend last summer who could literally not give away an armoire that was very similar to yours. It was so sad.
The millennials don't like old furniture (at least not around here--I have been reading in some parts of the country like NY and California this trend is turning...so I hope where you are this will be a hot ticket item).
If the company can't help you, I would think a reputable antique dealer could give you more info and the value for your area.
If you are trying to sell something this large I would suggest having it sold at auction or through a store that can deliver so you don't have to deal with the muss and fuss of the sale. It is very, very hard to sell furniture as an individual. People don't want to pay, don't have a truck to get it home, and they have to traipse through your house. Big ICK to all of that.
Please post back if the company can date it for you.
I personally LOVE these pieces and if I had space in my small house, I would love one!! They were pieces built to last, and they have!! Yours is quite lovely with nice detail work and what look like real brass hooks. This was a high quality piece in its day!!
Can't wait to hear more!!
