Looking for discontinued comforter sets from 2006 through 2008. I bought a pillow and when I went back a few months later, it had been discontinued. The pattern is a goldfish brownish color with light green and pinkish mauve flowers.

You should show this on social media pages. Or maybe you have more info on what store produced/sold it. This was so many years ago, someone may own or knows at least if the fabric exists. Also, where you bought it may have changed their design, but maybe you can contact that company for answers on a place that sells discontinued designs after they leave the last location.
The only way you are going to find this is to get it from someone who has it already. Put alerts on social media sites
You might try setting an alert on ebay:

Sorry, I do not believe it will be possible to locate a comforter discontinued since around 2008 - especially without a brand name.
I would suggest you take good pictures of your pillow (they will have to show the colors) and visit some of your local department stores to see if they have anything that might blend with your pillow colors.
You can put alerts out but without a brand name, it would probably be a waste of time.
I highly doubt it can be found. I suggest looking for a comforter set with ruffles in a similar color. I don't think it's possible to find one with the same pattern, so look for one without a pattern - one-color, it will set off the already purchased pillow.
The color of your pillow is beautiful, but rare.
I think Taupe color will be ok www.wayfair.com/
If it was a well-known brand, from highly prized bedding collections, then there would be a chance to find this discontinued comforter set. There are always several retail stores (for example Bloomingdale's, Macy's), resale shops, that have a discontinued bedding section. You can even save up to 40 percent by buying a discontinued bedding.
Maybe you will like this ruffled comforter
