Dishwasher Detergent for Hard Stains

I use a small amount of dishwasher powder or liquid (Cascade or similar) with hot water and let the item soak for a bit, then scrub. This method works great to remove the hard layer of oil my big pot gets from making popcorn on the stove. This is also a great solution for cleaning stubborn yuk on the stovetop without scratching it, however I use a microfiber cloth on the stovetop instead of the scrubber.
