I have a Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher. 2 years old rarely used. When I run a load it will always flash "Close Door" then begins to fill with water. It does neither but all the lights light. I'm about to order a water inlet valve. However it is rather pricey and I'm not sure if it's going to resolve the problem. Why does it flash, close door?
Have you tried to re-set the machine controls? This can be done by (1) cutting off power at the circuit breaker or (2) holding the Cancel button for 5 seconds. With both methods, wait 5 minutes or so before attempting re-start.

The problem may be with the door latch. A door switch is used to start and stop your dishwasher. It's a safety feature that won't allow water to flow with the door open. With a faulty door switch, dishwasher won't start at all. Inspect the latch/door switch for damage and repair/replace if it won't latch right.

The start button on my Frigidaire LFID2426TF2A dishwasher has intermittently stopped working. The other buttons are working fine but the start button continues to flash, no matter how many times I press it.
Then, out of the blue, I will try again and it works. I am guessing there must be a bad connection. Does anyone know how to repair this? My dishwasher started tripping the breaker soon after it was turned on. It is on it own breaker so I replaced the breaker, but it continued to trip it. I then replaced the receptacle that it plugs into. The receptacle works fine, but now the dishwasher will not turn on at all. Is this fixable or do I need to buy a new dishwasher?
We just had the same problem, we contacted the manufacturer of our dishwasher and spoke with a technician; he referred us to a repair shop of our brand of dishwasher; he did tell my husband that he thought that the computer panel on the front of the dishwasher had failed and he advised us to purchase a new dishwasher. This technician told us that the "life" of a dishwasher is usually 10 years.
