Total Time: 4 hours
Yield: 1
Supplies:
sandpaper
finishing sander
acrylic chalk paint
white flat paint
foam paintbrushes
water based varnish
Steps:
Sand the old paint by hand, or in combination with a finishing sander. This is the most time consuming part of the project and it depends on what color your old paint is and how difficult it is to remove.
Paint with the white base coat paint. Let dry completely.
Mix chalk paint with water using a 1:1 ratio. Paint the surface of the furniture. Let to dry for 15 minutes.

With a wet rag, wipe off chalk paint randomly over surface to give it a distressed look. Let dry. Varnish and let dry thoroughly before use.
