Our Redbone Hound has a bump at the base of his tail. It's hard, like a callous. We took him to a vet and $90 later the vet said, it could get bigger, could get smaller, keep an eye on it. We had to encourage him to do a test on it. He said it's a solid bump of cells, an abnormal something. Anyone else have a dog with a similar bump?

My dog has bumps all over her body. The vet said to keep a watch on them to make sure they don't get larger. It is has been years and they are not getting larger thankfully.
My Shih Tzu has one on her chest, and our vet's advice was the same. Keep an eye on it, and if it gets bigger or seems to bother the dog then have it removed.
