My dog just had 12 puppies and 2 died. We have a hard time getting her to be with her puppies much less feeding them. She will only eat wet food and not hard why? Also she is not producing milk, what does that mean?

You have my sympathy on the loss of the 2 pups. Prayers for the rest of the litter.
Please call the vet and have him/her give you the best info for your gal and the babies. Birthing 12 babies is a lot and nursing 10 is very hard on her system also. Poor gal is overwhelmed and exhausted.
The vet will know her history and can tell you what she needs based on her breed/size, etc.
Be sure to get info from the vet on what product is best so you can hand nurse the babies if needed.
Prayers!! Please post back with updates and photos!!
You need to get your dog to a vet she may have mastitis and unable to feed her pups. She may be in a lot of pain
12 pups is a large litter. She may be exhausted and not able to supply enough milk. Talk to your vet
This can be an issue if the dog has way too many puppies to feed at once. I would visit the vet and get some dry formulas that you can make to bottle feed some of the dogs to help her out.
You have an emergency situation on your hands. Mom dog needs all the food she wants. 12 puppies is very often more than a dog can nurse successfully. You will need a formula puppy milk replacer. Most pet shops sell it. You will need to to talk with your Vet or find information on how often and how much to feed the puppies Mom is not getting to. You will need a scale to weigh your puppies to see that they are gaining and that they are getting Moms milk or the formula you feed them. Your Vet can tell you how often to feed and how much based on the size of the puppies.
Vet trips are expensive but maybe you can call your vet and ask what you should be doing to help the mother take care of these pups.
If that is not an option then try calling your Humane Society or Google ASPC and find someone to talk to.
One thing for sure; the mother needs 2 to 3 times as much food than she was eating before having the pups. Leave dry food available but please feed her all of the wet food she will eat. She may actually not have the extra strength to eat very much dry food.
Be sure all food and water is near by so she does not have to go very far from the pups.
It does not take very long for pups and the mother to get seriously ill if sufficient food and water is not available.
Please read the following 2 links so you will know how to take care of the mother and pups. It is essential that care is taken immediately.
