My beautiful Ginnie girl, who is a year and a half, will pee on her bed in front of us every once in a while and we are at a loss why. She is a German Shepherd/Lab mix-rescue from Virginia. We adopted her from NSAL when she was 3 1/2 months old almost as soon as she got there. We were fortunate. She goes for walks at least 3 to 5 times a day (her daddy works from home) and she is pad trained as well. We just took her to the vet for a normal visit for checkup and vaccinations 2 weeks ago and was told she is healthy and her coat is beautiful. She had the beginning of a UTI a few months back, but is clear now. This morning she peed (it has been several months+ since the last time) while we were getting ready to go for her morning walk. I also am not certain what the best cleaner is to use for the bed now. It's orthopedic foam and normally she loves it. Thanks for any advice:)

When cleaning a memory foam bed dont put it in the washer, dryer or sun. Also, you can't use hot water on the bed to clean it.
Step 1
Baking soda is a good way to clean the dog's bed. Sprinkle the baking soda on the bed and let sit for a day. Afterwards, shake the bed and gently vacuum with the bursh attachment.
Step 2
Spray the bed with an enzymatic cleaner or use 50/50 water and vinegar mixture. Don't saturate the foam, but add enough so you can deodorize the urine.
Step 3
Add the enzymatic cleaner or the vinegar solution to a spray bottle.
Step 4
Blot the area with a clean towel until the surface feels dry.
Step 5
Sprinkle baking soda over the area and let sit for one day.
Step 6
Vacuum the baking soda up.
