Dog Peeing on Owner's Bed?

Dog Peeing on Owner's Bed - reddish brown ChihuahuaI have three dogs, two of them are good about going outside. Sometimes there has been accidents where I don't get them out at night to go potty. But my youngest one pees on everything even on my bed! My husband and I are getting fed up with having to wash bed covers almost every day cause he won't stop peeing, by the way he's a mini Chihuahua. We don't want to resort to rubbing his nose in it and spanking him and we don't want to give him away so what other options are there?

The dog is marking his territory. Clean up all spots with an enzyme cleaner like Natures Miracle. Make sure the vet has examined the dog for physical issues and infections that could cause him not to be able to hold his urine

Judy thank you for answering my question I believe you're right I do have another male dog so maybe he feels like he has to mark his territory because there's another male present. Thank you for the good idea I'll definitely try the enzyme cleaner

In my time with dogs, pee issues like you are describing are typically a health condition. Talk to your vet ASAP!! The old adage about rubbing their nose in it and spanking him are THE WORST possible things to to as they make the dog afraid of you...so then he is peeing and afraid...PLEASE NEVER DO EITHER...I beg you!!!

If he gets a clean bill of health, talk to your doctor about crate training options. Little dogs are hard to train. My doxie took almost 2 years before she got it right. Then she was great until she was about 15 1/2 and then she had to wear diapers for 2 years until we lost her.

I will say prayers that you find an easy answer from the vet!! These are sweet pups and they don't understand and just want love!!! It is very possible there is a UTI or some other issue and he just can't help it!!

Please let me know what the vet says! Good luck!!

Pghgirl40 Thank you so much I plan on taking him outside more often and I've been reading on some things that may help. I think it has a lot to do with my other male dog I think maybe he feels like he has to mark his territory because there is another male dog present.

Lol Don't worry I love my fur babies very much they're like my children so rubbing his nose in it and spanking him is out of the question I don't have the heart to do that sort of thing. I thank you for your kind response to my question I appreciate it

I miss my girl every day. She was my first child and I love her now as much as ever!!

This was my baby when she was a puppy! She (posthumously) won a contest on this site (Thrifty Fun). I always new she was a beauty queen!! www.thriftyfun.com/Carmel-Ann-Mini-Dachshund.html

I will say lots of prayers that your pup and his pup brother learn to love each other and that the marking stops. Sometimes time is the best solution for all things pup!

Your pup most likely has a urinary tract infection. Another thing to consider is anything new in his environment that threatens him. New dogs next door...that type of thing. This can get them started marking their territory.

Dogs who pee on your bed are desperately trying to mingle your scent with theirs because they are afraid. I hope you find a good answer here.

Lizzyanny Thanks for answering my question I hope there's not any kind of urinary tract infection he seems healthy but I'll get him checked just in case as far as I know there's no threat our nearest neighbors are miles away but I think it has a lot to do with our other male dog. I think maybe he feels like needs to mark his territory because there's another male thanks for the response I've gotten a lot of helpful answers here
