Recently my boyfriend and I moved into a new house. My 4 year old dog had been living at my parents house for the past year because of our living situation. He never pooped and peed inside and now for the past 3 weeks he has pooped and peed inside everyday. He goes outside and does his business as well. He is a amazing dog and I know he is having separation anxiety as well because he is trying to escape by tearing at the windows. He is ruining our new carpet. What should I do? I don't want to send him back to my parents.

Sounds like hes stressed, any leftover smells from pets living there previously? I'd have carpet cleaned with vinegar and go back to basics using a crate to make him feel safe and to aid in training again. Also check for cats or dogs etc. hanging around within view of the windows. Good luck and have patience, moving can be very stressful for a pet.
I moved last year into my childhood home after both parents passed. Before I moved, I took my 2 dogs there several times just so it would be familiar with them when we made the final move. Also, give them things that are familiar to them such as all toys, bedding, or anything they had living with your parents.
