Our 2 year old rescue dog poos in our bedroom if the door accidentally gets left open. It happens when we are both home. It's like she waits for an opportunity for the door to be left open and runs in to the same spot. She's also done it at my daughter's house. My concern is summer company; people are bound to leave bedroom doors open. I don't want her pooping on their clothes. She goes outside regularly and she's not left alone. I don't get it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Your dog has had her routine changed in some way. You will need to identify this problem. If nothing has changed, she is trying to find a new territory in your home and mark it as her own. When she does this you will need to eliminate the odor from the place where she has pooped and peed.
Another way to stop this is to monitor her. You can leave the door open and watch what she does. When she enters your room, follow her with a rolled up newspaper. Slap the paper on your hand and scold her. Let her know this isn't appropriate and immediately take her outside to make her poop. This is another way of rehouse braking your dog.
You need to clean wherever she has messed with an enzyme cleaner to remove the scent. Otherwise she will keep going back. Keep her on a strict feeding and walking schedule.
