Recently my dog started messing in the house again (urine and stool) which was abnormal. I brought her immediately to the vet due to the consistency and they ruled she had eaten something that irritated her colon and prescribed her a week's worth of Metronidazole to take care of it.
Since I got her in November, she's never had any accidents or issues other than the first week I had her. She's no longer sick and is back to normal, but continues to urinate in the house. There has been no change in schedule, she is constantly let outside during the day, gets let out any time she motions she needs to go potty, and still does this.
Today, she spent the vast majority of the day outside playing and was outside when I got home. 20 minutes after letting her inside I brought her downstairs to eat. She was down there for about 10 minutes and came upstairs and the door was shut behind her. I found that in those 10 minutes she was downstairs she had urinated. This seems like a conscious effort to make a mess in the house having been outside right before. Any ideas how to fix this behavior?
