I started my avocado tree from a seed. It had been growing great, until the dogs decided they liked the taste of the leaves. Is there anything I can do to get it growing again? Maybe clipping the top? Any advice would be great. I really don't want to throw it out.

Your tree will spout new leaves in time. A suggestion would be to put your tree on something higher away from your pets. This will happen again!

During winter months a lot of tree lose their leaves and your tree has lost its leaves because of your dogs. Your tree is not dead and new leaves will grow again in early spring.
Did it end up growing back? I'm asking because my dog just did the exact same thing to my plant today :(
