This project cost me $1 to do! All I had to buy was the $1 decal from Dollar Tree. I got the cabinet from "loose trash" from the next door neighbor. It was in good condition but in need of some exterior improvement to "doll it up" a little!
Supplies:
- primer paint
- paint
- decal
- varnish
- sponge brush
Steps:
- Clean piece of furniture and paint 2 to 3 primer coats of paint all over the surface. Let dry at least one hour between coats. Paint 2 coats of paint over top of primer coat. Let dry a few hours between coats. Allow last coat to dry 24 hours.
- Design arrangement of decals and apply, cutting when and if necessary.
- Apply a coat of varnish to keep the decals from peeling off.
