Do your children come home the last day of school with overflowing backpacks from cleaning out their lockers, cubbies, desks, etc?
It never fails. My children come home every year with left over crayons, markers, glue sticks, pencils, and other miscellaneous items. Since our supply at home is usually plentiful, and each new year brings a new supply list, I like to donate the supplies to a local shelter that helps families with children. The children often come to the shelter with very little. Having something they can use to draw or color with may just brighten their day!

Nice idea! My home town was just hit really hard by a tornado this past week & even though school was canceled I heard, due to it, there might still be a need for arts/crafts items for activity time.
I was going to mention donating to an organization helping with tornado relief also. We are doing kitchen boxes and asking for donations and have had a great response.
