You can check with Assisted Living facilities in your area. They could use the fabric for craft activities with the residents. A senior adult center might also be interested in a donation of fabric. Goodwill, Salvation Army and other chairitable donation sites accept donations of useable fabric.
There is a neat store I have been wanting to go to that sells fabric in the historic district...www.mainstreetmartinsburg.com/
A friend who lived not far told me about it...I assume they are still around. Perhaps they can hook you up with churches or animal shelters who use the fabric to make quilts for charity. That would be awesome karma!!
Wishing you all the best!
Put an ad in Freecycle or Craigslist
There are several worthwhile charities in your area but you should probably make a few phone calls before loading up your fabrics so you will know which one you like best.
Project Linus makes quilts and afghans for children in hospitals or disasters, etc, and accept donated fabric or yarn. Check online for the nearest chapter.
You can put on Facebook, Craigslist, Free cycle, Free sign in-front of your home.
