Donating Fabric to Charity?

I have all kinds of fabric, drapery fabric, home decor, cotton, and stretch fabric. I am just looking for a place in the Dorchester Boston area to donate it to. In this is a community all of the schools are teaching young kids how to sew or a senior center.

Put an ad on Freecycle. You will have many takers. You can specify you want a charity to take it.

In your community, you can give the schools/senior center if they'd like it and donate it to them. :) Or any homeless shelters may want it

There are several non-profit thrift stores in your area that may be able to accept your fabrics.

I assume you are not just trying to dump your fabric and would prefer your donation to go to a worthy cause?

Not sure just which ones are in your immediate area but if you Google non-profit thrift stores with your zip code you will find names and locations as well as telephone numbers.
I would recommend calling to see if your donations can be used.
I particularly like Hospice Thrift stores as well as Habitat for Humanity but Salvation Army stores usually use their proceeds for good things also.

why don't you look into donating to the local schools for home economic classes.
