I have used greeting cards to send to someone who can put them to good use for projects, etc.

You might want to check local daycare/preschool centers or assisted living facilities and nursing homes. You can also donate used greeting cards to St. Jude's. oregongreenschools.org/donate-used-greeting-cards-to-st-judes/
I have sold lots of cards (meaning groupings of them mostly 100 and up) on eBay. Artists love these and will often pay decent money for them.
If you search eBay SOLD auctions you can see how people advertise them. Someone (I wish me) got $185 for 269 cards!! I never got that much, but have fetched an average of $20 a box (box being either a large or medium size USPS mailing box.
I always feel good when an artist buys them!!
If you don't have the patience to sell them, when my nephews were little I used to donate greeting cards and stickers to their preschool. The kids would use them or crafts.
Schools and after-school programs would love it. Also consider nursing homes and summer camps.
Used Christmas (holiday) cards are one of the few items that many people and organizations can use and are usually very glad to receive a donation.
There are always local centers that like to receive donations (Google where to donate used Christmas cards with your zip code) but there are also numerous organizations in different areas of the country.
Here is a good link that has a lot of these places listed with contact information.
