Any thoughts on where to donate excess trophies?

I have donated on Freecycle.
These are really neat! Do you have an artist group in your town? We have a place called Center for Creative Reuse and they take them in donation and artists use them in their sculptors and assemblages
I have also had good luck selling lots (meaning groups of) statues on eBay. The title is usually something like Large Lot Metal/Lucite Trophies Assemblages Steampunk Art Sculpture.
If you do a 7 day auction starting at the minimum you want to get for them (be sure to box and weigh before listing so you have the correct box size and weight (NEVER EVER let eBay calculate shipping for you). Then the market will dictate the current value for the items
I have fetched various amounts from as low as $10 up to $35 or so for lots similar to yours!
Post back what you decide!!
PS...double check to make sure none are actual silver or gold. I say this because we were cleaning out a family member's estate last year and he had two small cup trophies that turned out to be sterling silver and his wife fetched much more for them in scrap than they would have fetched on eBay since silver was higher at the time! You would be surprised how many trophies from the 50s and 60s were real metals (gold/silver) because they were so cheap to make back then!!
You can try to sell and use the the money for many causes,or even donate to the various institutions. There is a market for these!
Most of the thrift stores will not accept trophies or if boxed and left off they discard them because there is just no value in them (as a general rule).
Most people will recommend using them for crafts but then most people do not wish to have them 'hanging' around.
You can check out the sold listings on eBay and get an idea about posting your lot for sale. Difficult to find similar but doesn't hurt to look.

You can call the trophy shops in your area but they probably will not want them.
Shipping is so expensive that it is difficult to sell them but you might place ad on Freecycle, Craigslist, Nextdoor.com and see if anyone is interested in picking them up.
There are a couple of sites that will 'take' them from you - for a fee - one site charges a flat $20 fee and you ship trophies to them (you also pay for shipping).
Check around your area and see if they have a trophy recycling center. Many people take the old trophies and tear them down and reuse the good parts to make new ones. Normally the medals these are made from come from recycled materials.
