We have glasses that are just wide enough on the top that only 3 fit on 5 hooks along the side of the drainer. But if you have larger plastic glasses, you can set those on top and double the space you have.

I may be missing something here, but you may be doubling the space, but how will the glasses on the bottom dry when you have larger glasses over the smaller ones?
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I have moved around too much. The bottom ones drain like normal and the larger ones do too it is just that they are doing it in the same space.
