Dramamine for Car Sick Cat

My cat Numi does not like to ride in the car. In addition to objecting loudly (he is part Siamese) to turns, bumps, and higher speeds, he gets car sick. I spoke to our vet and she recommended Dramamine. Based on her recommendation for my cat (you will want to check with your vet for the appropriate dosage for your kitty) we give him 1/4 tablet of Dramamine (50 mg. original formula, not a generic) approximately 20 - 30 minutes before we travel. It helps tremendously. He still howls, but the vomiting is gone.
