Cream butter and sugar; add flour. Press into 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.
For top: Beat eggs until foamy. Mix in sugar; add vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Blend into egg mixture. Add coconut and nuts. Spread mixture over partially baked crust.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Serves 12.

Cream butter and sugar. Sift flour with soda and salt; and add with rolled oats to mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
Mix ingredients to a crumbly mass. Pat into a pan. Bake 10 minutes in moderate oven. Beat eggs until lemon colored. Add rest of ingredients.
Melt 1 stick butter or margarine in bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs. Pat out smooth in pan. This forms the crust.
Combine flour, butter and 1/4 cup of the brown sugar. Spread in an 8 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 5-10 minutes.
