Chinese New Year is tomorrow! Instead of buying flowers, we used flowers right from our yard.
An inexpensive way to spruce up up a clear plain and boring vase is to wrap it with some ribbon and tie a bow - very simple and makes a huge difference!

I always do that too, tie a ribbon around a plain glass vase.
Your flowers in the vase with the bow are just as pretty as can be, they're just beautiful! They give such a happy fresh feeling to look at them. :)
Perfect for Lunar New Year too! Sorry I didn't get it posted in time, I didn't see that it was a holiday post. :)
Chuc Mung Nam Moi!
That's Happy New Year in Vietnamese, minus the tone marks which our system doesn't like.
Chuc Mung Nam Moi to you and your family, Jess! I hope you had a wonderful New Years.
We normally buy flowers to decorate, but we figured we can use these beautiful yellow flowers in our yard as decoration! :) We saved the money we would have bought on flowers toward banh Chung and banh tet to support small local businesses.
