The hot water may make you sweat and burn a few more calories. Drinking water at any temperature instead of grabbing food first will help in any weight loss plan.

Yes, because it burns your calories internally. In our body there are 70% of water so if you are drinking hot water, it definetly helps. Water is the lubricant that helps in your digestive system.

Some people believe that it will increase your metabolism by increasing your body temperature. But there are also people who recommend drinking ice cold water and taking icy showers or even cryotherapy for weight loss, saying that your body increases the metabolism in reaction to the cold.

Adding hot water to a sensible weight loss plan should not cause any issues, but it is not going to be enough to cause substantial weight loss on its own. The best way to lose weight is to reduce your portion size (which tends to creep in our modern culture), avoid sugar and processed foods, and exercise more. Adding more water (of any temperature) should be a plus, especially if it keeps you from drinking calories.

at the end of the day, weight loss is ALWAYS a numbers game. ALWAYS. 'Garbage In, Garbage Out' You just cannot get away from that

sure you can tweak your diet so that you are eating the foods optimal for your particular life/metabolism, foods that will not inspire you to overeat (IE some people do well low fat some do better on low carb) and you can do cleanses and do things like take a shot of apple cider vinegar or lemon water in the AM or even hot water, all which can help curb random sugar cravings and even help you cleanse/detox your system

but at the end of the day it is always a numbers game

if drinking hot water is helping you avoid eating 500 calories of whatever it is because it helps you get a handle of your appetite, by all means.

Water intake is important in any diet but you doctor or health care provider should tell you how much and if it should be hot or cold or room temp. Your doctor can help you develop a plan that is safe for you! My doctor and I worked together to develop a plan and I lost 40 pounds and am keeping it off. My appoved plan works for me which is to only eat when I am stomach hungry, not mouth hungry. It took awhile to get the hang, but it works for me and my situation!

Post back what your doctor recommends! Best wishes!!
