This recipe makes a nice Sunday brunch treat served with fresh fruit of your choice.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Yield: 1
Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Steps:
- Soak eggs in warm water for 5 minutes. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. and add the butter to a 10-inch cast-iron skillet; place the pan in the oven until the butter is melted and bubbly but not burned. In a blender, blend the eggs on medium-high for about 5 seconds until bubbly. Add the remaining ingredients to the blender, and pulse on low until just combined, about 5 seconds more.
- By this time, you may remove cast iron pan from oven. Pour ingredients into skillet. Bake for 15 minutes until browned and puffy.
- Remove the Dutch Baby from oven. Cut into wedges. Serve with butter and syrup or powdered sugar and fresh fruit.

Yum! That looks delicious. My mom would make this but she called it "Big Egg Pancake" :)

I thought it would be funny to call it Puff Daddy!

I make these frequently, they're so good. Traditional way to serve is with a squeeze of lemon and sprinkle power sugar on! :)
