Dye Transfer on Clothing

I have a mostly white shirt with some appliques that are not white. It is T-shirt fabric. I washed it with some red shorts and now the shirt is mostly pink. How can I get it white again?

I have the same problem with an ethnic top with pink embroidery on a white background. I plan to carefully bleach the area(s) that have gotten pink in the background with a Q-tip dipped in bleach on an area that has been wetted. Or you can try the new pen spot removers or bleach pens! (06/23/2009)

I am not sure if bleach would be the answer or not, but I bought some new dish towels one time and they were red, and still are, I made the mistake of washing my underwear and socks with them, now being a man pink is generally not my color, I just hope that I never wear them to the gym or somewhere, where I might have to explain. I have never tried Oxi-clean, but I hear it works. Good luck, let me know what happens. (06/24/2009)

"Rit" makes a liquid that will take color out of a clothing item. This may work for you. (06/24/2009)
