I stripped my dyed hair once with color fix stripper and then bleached it. My underlying color was a red tone with about an inch of salt and pepper colored roots. I then used Wella t18 toner and the color was lightest ash blond. I now have snow white roots and still have some light strawberry blonde areas where the old color was. All was done in one day.
I have used deep conditioner twice, regular conditioner, and I used coconut oil overnight before any process and after stripping and again overnight after bleach and then toner. I'm to the next day and hate my hair. I am going for a gray color. I can't afford a salon at this time. I have been off work for 5 months and will return to work in 4 days. How can I get the brassy color out and make it gray before I return to work. I am desperate for a quick reply! Thank you in advance.

Go to a beauty school. The prices are reasonable and the students are supervised very carefully. You will get the results you want.
I suggest being easy on your hair and waiting a little...I hear you that you are going back to work, but you can end up doing more damage if you keep fussing with it. If you can find a cute style that minimizes what you don't like about how it turned out, and you let your hair heal, you will be better off in the long run.
